Shelly Jaques is a founder of Parent’s Survival Resource & Connection Society and a passionate advocate for the disability community. Bringing lived experience as well as being a mother to a daughter with disabilities, Shelly uses her knowledge to empower, connect, guide, and improve the well-being / mental health of the caregivers within the disability community & those they care for. She equips each caregiver and the individuals affected by disabilities with the necessary skills, resources, and tailored help they need to thrive.

Shelly’s 10+ years serving on many nonprofit boards & committees have allowed her to work with many amazing charities and nonprofits, such as the Chamber of Commerce & Bellevue Mine, Heart & Stroke, and more. Shelly was a nominated Valedictorian and Phi Theta Kappa as a graduate of Sait Polytechnic. She is working towards the Nonprofit Management certificate from Mount Royal University and undertaking many other training opportunities to further her passion.

Jessica is a certified Healthcare Aide and a writer.
